Does my insurance cover the cost of virtual visits?
The majority of our patients’ insurance plans provide coverage for telehealth visits at the same rate as in-office visits.
Are virtual visits only for current patients?
At Florida Bariatric And Plastic Surgery MD, we are happy to meet with new and existing patients through virtual visits. For new patients, a virtual consultation is a great way to learn more about our team, our program, and the weight loss solutions we offer.
Following an initial online consultation, we can submit information to your primary care provider and can also help you begin the insurance approval process.
Telemedicine consultations are also a convenient option for the many patients who travel from out of town to work with us.
Does telemedicine feel impersonal?
